Queensview is a 17 storey block of flats built in 1966 by Terson for Leeds City Council, which is now managed by "East North East Homes Leeds " near to the Seacroft Village Green,  Queensview  was converted into a Sheltered Housing block in 1997.

The ground floor flats were converted into two communal rooms, two disabled showers, two disabled toilets, a launderette and two offices. The residents flats are equipped with the Leeds City Council,  24 hour Care Ring system.  The old second floor entrance has now been converted to a snooker room for residents.

Due to changes implemented by Leeds East North East Homes, residential  caretakers are now a thing of the past, this applies to all 60plus multi-storey flats in the ENEHL area.  They are now mobile caretakers who if you are lucky call just once a day for about 1/2 hour,  residential wardens are also a thing of the past they are now called Scheme Support Managers.  Residents are not happy with these new changes, from having wardens & a caretaker on site, with no consultation ENEHL have reduced the service it used to provide, to one where the safety & security of all its tenants is now compromised.

We still have a 1st class Home Care Service, but even this is about to change, with more of their work going to the Private Sector.

Queensview had its own digital  CCTV system in situ, which provided a safe and secure environment for its 90+ elderly residents. This broke down & is not being replaced. Instead ENEHL has its own remotely monitored CCTV system.  Mobile Security patrols to all the blocks have also been done away with.  Some residents are now trying to fight these changes.
